The goal of the program is to develop participants’ creative thinking, critical reasoning, and communication skills, while also teaching English through fun and innovative methods.

The program is being implemented in Kutaisi, in a newly established social enterprise space, and is funded through crowdfunding resources raised via the Orbeliani Meti platform. The program is being offered free of charge to three groups of children. Activities have already begun for two of the groups, while the organizing team is currently working on forming the third group.

Achieved Results

As part of the program, several important stages were planned and implemented to select participants and prepare for the learning process. Special attention was given to working appropriately with different age groups: participants were divided into two categories — children aged 6–8 and those aged 9–12. Following this age-based division, a diagnostic assessment of English language proficiency was conducted, based on which the children were finally placed into appropriate groups.

The program involved 18 children — 11 girls and 7 boys — from 9 different families. Once the groups were fully formed, six lessons were planned for each group.

The learning process is led by an experienced English language teacher, supported by a youth worker and a volunteer. The lessons extensively utilize non-formal educational approaches — including entertaining, creative, and educational activities — which increase the children’s motivation and significantly enhance the effectiveness of the learning process.

The selected topics are tailored to the children’s age-specific characteristics and their level of English proficiency. Lessons cover themes such as self-introduction, colors, parts of the body, domestic and wild animals, hobbies, and interests. The goal of the program is not only to deepen the participants’ knowledge of English but also to develop their communication, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.

The first phase of activities has been successfully completed, and there is already a noticeable increase in the children’s enthusiasm, confidence in communication, and development of creative skills.

The project is an ongoing process.

Summary

“ART is Fun+” Program creates accessible educational opportunities for socially vulnerable children living in Kutaisi.
The program’s core components are:

Free English language instruction for children;

Promotion of creative thinking, critical reasoning, and communication skills development;

Teamwork and the use of non-formal educational approaches.

The learning process is led by an experienced English teacher, youth worker, and volunteerwho provide a diverse, innovative, and motivating environment for children.

The program represents an important step towards social equality, inclusive education, and and youth support .

RICDOG continues to work to ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow and succeed, regardless of their social background.

Visual Material:

We are sharing with you 📸 photos and 🎥 videos of meetings that have already taken place:

🔗 Photo/Video Link 1

🔗 Photo/Video Link 2

🔗 Photo/Video Link 3

🔗 Photo/Video Link 4

🔗 Photo/Video Link 5

🔗 Photo/Video Link 6

🔗 Photo/Video Link 7

🔗 Photo/Video Link 8

The Research-Intellectual Club “Dialogue of Generations” (RICDOG) is successfully implementing an innovative educational program designed for socially vulnerable children aged 6–12.
