<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to encourage and engage local government representatives in active work on integration issues for foreigners legally residing in Georgia. The project also contributes to improving the legal status of foreigners residing in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main project activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Meetings with foreign students and representatives of the local community:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introductory meetings were held with foreign students living in Kutaisi, representatives of NGOs and universities, where participants were provided with information about the goals and objectives of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 At the meeting, foreign students spoke about the challenges and needs at the local level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Integration Platform Sessions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second sessions of the Integration Platform were held in the Batumi and Kutaisi City Halls, with the participation of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Representatives of the integration working groups of the city halls;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Foreign initiative groups and members of diasporas;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Representatives of local educational institutions and non-governmental organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meetings determined integration action plans, details of the memorandum of understanding, and the schedule of the next meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Trainings and Seminars:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various thematic trainings and seminars were held within the project, which helped participants raise awareness on immigration issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project involves both foreign students and representatives of local organizations and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is implemented with the financial support of the STREAMinG<\/strong> a long-term program to strengthen the impact of migration in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
