
United for Democracy: Advocating Civil Society’s Future in Georgia
The project aims to reduce the negative impact of the "Foreign Influence Transparency Law" in Georgia on civil society organizations (CSOs) by raising public awareness and strengthening the operational sustainability of these organizations.
Main objectives of the project:
1. Raising public awareness:
• Launch a campaign that will inform the public about the harm this law has done to civil society and the importance of protecting democratic values.
2. Demonstrating the contribution of civil society:
• Highlighting the achievements of organizations and their role in promoting social progress through the use of media content.
3. Providing targeted support:
• Offering legal and financial advice to RICDOG and other CSOs to effectively navigate the new legislative environment.
Campaign implemented within the framework of the project:
„წინ, საქართველო, წინ!“
• Main goal:
Raising public awareness about the importance of civil society organizations and showcasing their contribution to the country's development.
• A message
The campaign calls on the public to become active, participate in the elections, and together develop democratic values and a just society.
Expected results:
1. Increasing public support:
• Dissemination of information about civil society organizations will increase awareness of their importance.
2. Strengthening cooperation between organizations:
• Creation of a joint advocacy strategy for CSOs.
3. Improving operational sustainability:
• Better stability for RICDOG and other CSOs, allowing organizations to focus on strengthening democracy and civic engagement.
Partnership and funding:
The project is implemented by the Research-Intellectual Club "Dialogue of Generations" (RICDOG) with the support of the Czech NESEHNUTÍ. NGO.
The project is funded by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the TRANSITION program.
Project significance:
"United for Democracy" promotes the strengthening of civil society organizations, democratic awareness of society, and the sustainable development of CSOs, which are essential for forming a just and open society.
