
Program to promote the development of citizenship competence and practical application of knowledge among schoolchildren
The goal of the project is to develop citizenship competencies among schoolchildren and support the practical application of knowledge acquired in civic education lessons.
Activities implemented within the framework of the project:
• Teamwork and development of key competencies:
Using non-formal education approaches, participants gained knowledge and practical experience in team formation and effective work.
• Workshops on peacebuilding:
The program included workshops aimed at raising youth awareness of peacebuilding and conflict management issues.
• Creation of youth clubs:
Within the framework of the project, students formed youth clubs that worked:
• Identifying problems;
• Finding ways to solve them;
• Raising awareness in society.
• Meetings and trainings:
Thematic meetings and trainings were held in various areas, which helped students apply the knowledge they gained in practice.
Project implementation schools:
• Tkibuli Public School No. 4;
• Ambrolauri Public School N2;
• Tsageri Public School;
• Ozurgeti Public School No. 2.
Project results:
• Youth clubs were established in schools and continue to operate.
• Students developed citizenship competencies and gained experience in identifying local problems and finding ways to solve them.
• Civic education classes in schools have created new opportunities to put the acquired knowledge into practice.

The project was implemented by 5 months

The project was funded within the framework of the “Democracy Begins in Schools” program, which is implemented by:

• In cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Georgia;
• With the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
