
ACCESS – English Language Learning Access Scholarship Program
Description of the program:
ACCESS is a program that provides English language lessons after school hours. The program is designed for 13-18-year-old students in Georgia, especially those who live in socially and economically disadvantaged families. The program aims to make English language learning more accessible and to develop leadership and other necessary skills and competencies in participants.
The program aims to make English language learning accessible to adolescents from socially vulnerable and economically disadvantaged families. In addition to learning English, children will also learn American culture and customs and develop leadership skills.
The ACCESS program was implemented in Kutaisi for 4 years, and since 2024 it has been continuing in Baghdad..
The ACCESS program in Baghdati Municipality is hosted by Game Zone, a youth center established in 2020.
• Access classes are held twice a week, with a special educational program.
Impact:
The program provides participants with not only English language learning but also the development of skills and life competencies that will help them improve their future academic and professional opportunities, as well as strengthen their foundation for leadership and civic engagement.
The project is being implemented by the American organization PH International, in collaboration with the scientific-intellectual club "Dialogue between Generations", with funding from the United States Department of State.
