Climate Action Network in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia

We are the largest network of climate NGOs in the Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) region. Our network has existed since 2008 and it is part of the Climate Action Network International, which brings together more than 1 500 civil society organizations in 130 countries. At the moment, 43 member NGOs in 11 countries of the region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine) are members of the network. We are working to ensure that the civil society of the region is strong and organized, that the EECCA countries implement policies leading to climate neutrality and a green economy, and that there is coherence between the first and second processes based on climate justice. RICDOG joined to network in 2018. At the moment chairman of the RICDOG Nugzar Kokhreidze is a Chairman of the CAN EECCA Board.

Research Club

The Research Club is an important part of the research-intellectual club “Dialogue of Generations”. It has been operating since 2005 and has held more than 30 discourses, monologues, etc. In addition, the club pays significant attention to holding scientific conferences and involving students in them. The organization was created based on the Research Club, although today its activities cover much more areas than just science. The main goal of the Research Club is to support and promote young scientists. The club holds its meetings once every two months and announces the topic of the discourse in advance. It selects two main speakers and participants in the discourse. Both student-youth and professors-teachers participate in the club's work. The conversation is on equal terms. In all discourses, participants are required to send a speech or outline related to their topic in writing in advance. The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the facts.
