European Solidarity Corps in RICDOG

Until 2027, RICDOG will have the opportunity to accept 4 long-term and 4 short-term volunteers at the same time. Additionally, they will be allowed to accept 2 long-term and 2 short-term volunteers for the "Game Zone" at the Baghdati Youth Center (for which the organization provides software support). Furthermore, RICDOG will be able to host a group of 12 volunteers simultaneously. In addition, accept a group of 12 volunteers at a time.

What is the European Solidarity Corps?

The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union youth volunteering program.

The goal of the European Solidarity Corps is to promote solidarity as a value through volunteering, enhance youth and organizations' engagement in accessible and high-quality solidarity activities, which in turn will help strengthen unity, solidarity, democracy, and citizenship in Europe. It also aims to support social challenges and community empowerment, with particular emphasis on social integration. Furthermore, the program contributes to the growth of European youth cooperation.

Specifically, the program’s objectives include:

  • With the support of participating organizations, give young people the opportunity to engage in joint activities that promote positive social changes in society. These activities also aim to improve personal, educational, social, civic, cultural, and professional development skills and competencies. Additionally, it helps young volunteers and workers in establishing an active civic position, entering the job market, and enhancing employment opportunities.
  • Ensure that the joint activities offered by the European Solidarity Corps for participants are of high quality, effective, and adhere to the principles of the European Solidarity Corps.
  • Ensure a special effort for social integration and equal opportunities, especially for participants with fewer opportunities, through specific measures such as solidarity activities in appropriate formats and personal support.
  • Contribute to raising awareness about the strengthening of European cooperation for young people and its positive impact.

In cooperation with organizations from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, the following activities are possible:

  • Group Volunteering

Organizations wishing to participate in the aforementioned opportunities must obtain a (Quality Label)Organizations accredited with the European Voluntary Service (EVS) will automatically be able to participate in European Solidarity Corps activities.
